Earlier this year, Zoe Daniels, a senior leader at Hampshire County Supplies, undertook an inspiring personal challenge in support of a cause close to many hearts. Based in Hampshire, Zoe has long been a key figure in public sector procurement, overseeing catalogue development, contract management, and procurement processes for schools, libraries, police, fire services, and other public bodies across the region. Known for her dedication and professionalism, Zoe is also a strong supporter of Show-me.
In 2025, Zoe stepped far outside her comfort zone and set her sights on the Pier to Pier Swim, Bournemouth Pier being the finish line. It was no small feat – especially for someone who admitted she wasn’t the biggest fan of sea water! But she dove into her training with determination, motivated by her mission to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation (BHF).
Zoe chose the BHF because of the tremendous impact the organization has had in reducing deaths from heart and circulatory diseases across the UK. Despite progress, these conditions still claim hundreds of lives every day. Zoe’s goal was to support ongoing research and innovation, knowing that even a modest donation of £24 would fund two hours of research by an early career scientist.
Thanks to the generosity of friends, colleagues, and supporters, Zoe successfully surpassed her fundraising target of £300, reaching over £460. Her courage and commitment served as a reminder that, together, we truly can make a difference.
